Bill was probably the worst manager that I've ever had while working at Clemens. No, let me rephrase that - he was the worst manager that I have ever had. Period. He was of the mind that he had what it took to save this chain of grocery stores from the brink of annihilation, and damnit, he was going to start with ours.
He never went out of his way to be a friendly manager, and thusly, everyone hated to deal with him. Couple that with the fact that he enforced the company handbook as if it were some sort of personal bible, and you've got yourselves a recipe for a d***head.
Even despite his fervor, I still felt the need to take a shot at him, so I created this comic and posted it around the store as was the usual. He called me into his office the next day to talk about it, and instead of reprimanding me as I had expected, he shook my hand and said, 'Well done'!
What is this? He accepted this depiction? Could this gruff, strict manager really have a sense of humor?
