Run Time: 2002 - 2006

Reasons Why We Rule was a webcomic that Matt co-authored with longtime friend, Justin Moyer.  It was regularly updated on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and amassed a collection of 375 comics by the time of its completion.  It received moderate success, and drew a daily audience of around 1,500 readers during the peak of its lifetime.

 

Initially created as a project to incorporate several different artists, RWWR eventually streamlined its input down to one artist and one writer due to difficulties finding a consistent fanbase.  Drawing inspiration from South Park and Penny Arcade, it found its home with a college-aged readership who enjoyed RWWR's oftentimes offensive themes.

 

Towards the end of its run, RWWR suffered from irregular updates as both Matt and Justin began to pursue other creative endeavors, and RWWR eventually ran its last comic on December 31st, 2006.
