Portraits
Having always enjoyed drawing portraits, Matt has recently found a new love for the pastel medium, and uses them to create vibrantly colored tributes of people as a way to memorialize them, or to capture a special moment in time.
Etchings
While seeking a way to create customized glassware that'll stand up to everyday usage, Matt has delved into the art of engraving. Using a Dremel tool, he has created intricately crafted images completely by hand.
Caricatures
Due to his strong background in cartooning, it seems only natural that Matt has taken an interest in doing caricatures. While he has been commissioned to do caricatures on several occasions, he still considers caricaturing just a hobby and a way to keep his drawing skills sharp.
Illustrations
Initially done as a way to pass the time, Matt is becoming more prominent in the field of free-lance illustration. His expertise in both traditional mediums and digital illustration allow him to offer a wide range of services.
House Portraits
Even though he may not consider it his strongest area in the artistic field, Matt has created several house portraits as both gifts and commissions. He strives to capture the character of the architecture in every drawing, and pair it with a flair of color that a simple photograph can not.
Nesting Dolls
Inspired by a fellow artist in his family, Matt has begun working on custom nesting dolls that feature family members, friends, or recognizable figures from pop culture.
