In school, whenever I had a lecture-based class, I would try to occupy my mind and stay awake by drawing and doodling.  It works moderately well, so when I was sitting in church one day battling drooping eyelids during a sermon, I thought, 'What the hell?  It works for school.  Why shouldn't it help here?'

And it did.  I didn't sleep a wink that day, and the resulting doodle you now see before.

It is kind of ironic, though.  While the pastor was up front sermoning about salvation, I'm sat hunched over in one of the pews doodling something that'll only earn me a deeper and more definite spot in hell.

Sorry, Jesus.  I still think you're pretty jive, though.
