This is another example how when we were first creating our comics, we were just going for simple gags and were not thinking long-term in regards to a story.  In this second comic, we see my brother introduced, which is ironic because he NEVER APPEARS AGAIN AT ANY POINT.

I guess it could be assumed that perhaps "Matt" came through with a mighty swing and that was the end of his sibling as we know him.
