Mr. Optimistic was a character based off of our friend Joel, who good spirits and positive outlook prove so unflappable that one might wonder if prescription drugs are involved.

 

The character himself appears only in this single comic though, as it became evident that there wasn't much more to say that wasn't already said here.

 

I wish I could share his optimism...especially in regards to my grammar.  In panel 5 alone, I have misspelled 'happier', and omitted the word 'surgery' altogether.  I probably should've taken on an editor...
