This comic was done for a fairly popular (and heavily controversial) webcomic named 'Movie Comics', which ran roughly from 2001-2003. It received heavy criticism for its methods of self-promotion, its treatment of its fanbase, and the questionable similarities that seemed derived straight from other popular webcomics.
However, one week Movie Comics reached out to other cartoonists to help contribute material while they took a short break to focus on their college work, and Justin and I saw an opportunity to get our work in front of a larger fanbase/
I forget the basics of Movie Comics, but the punchline in the last panel stems from one of their characters who was constantly homophobic, oftentimes going to great lengths trying to convince the other characters of his heterosexuality . I decided to provide a situation that would make that denial ludicrous.
